Help Us Meet The Community’s Needs – Volunteer Today!

Request information about volunteering

Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community and help a neighbor in need. Neighbors was formed by volunteers in 1972. Today volunteers continue to be one of the most important factors for Neighbors to successfully deliver quality programs. In 2008, more than 700 volunteers served over 23,200 hours in almost all of our program areas.

Why Volunteer At Neighbors?

  • Be apart of something great! Join an organization that values the service of its volunteers.

  • Change the world! Make a direct positive impact in your community.

  • Improve yourself! Make a difference in yourself and feel good about helping others.

  • Meet people like you! Work with a team of volunteers that are dedicated to making their community a better place to live.

What Our Volunteers Are Saying!

“Two months ago I was sitting in my apartment thinking of how I could use my time now that I’m retired. I wanted to make sure that whatever I did needed to be in my neighborhood. I did some research and with these rough times we live in I went to Neighbors to volunteer. Oh my! Everyday my heart is touched by the people that I meet. Not only the people I work and volunteer with, but the lovely people that come in to use Neighbors’ services.” – Front Desk Volunteer

“Getting to know great people! Seeing an organization (and how it works) that is really all about helping other people. Seeing the diversity of [South] St. Paul. Realizing how many people are out there that need help.” – Clothes Closet Volunteer

“I really enjoyed working with people in my community that I would never have met otherwise. Also, the staff was always courteous and fun.” – Office Volunteer
